Dear Friend,

Today is my birthday. I am 67 years old.

Little did I think when I first urged Donald Trump to run for president in 1988 that I would be facing trial in Washington, DC on charges by Special Counsel Robert Mueller 69 short days from now.

Since the day I was arrested (perhaps you saw it on CNN) I have vowed to fight for exoneration. I have pled NOT GUILTY and promise you a vigorous defense at trial. Due to a gag order by the Judge in my case, I am not permitted to say more.

This entire ordeal has been difficult for me and my family. CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times and the Washington Post continue to smear me and misrepresent the facts just like they do to President Trump. I have lost everything with my decision to fight the charges. My home, my savings, most of my insurance and my ability to make a living by writing and speaking – all gone.

And still… I won't buckle. I will tell the truth. I will not testify falsely about anyone or anything – and with your continued help, I will be vindicated.

By the time this is over, my legal defense to this and the frivolous civil suits is expected to cost more than $2 million. I would gladly pay it if I could but I am essentially indigent. I have very fine lawyers who are working at deep discounts to defend me. I do not exaggerate when I say they are working around the clock to read the mountain of documents they must review to prepare for trial just weeks from now.

As of today, I do not have the funds to pay for the defense and the resources I need to prevail. Will you consider sending a BIRTHDAY GIFT of $67 to my Legal Defense Fund?  The President's supporters have been so generous and I have no one else to turn to

My life, my future, and the future of my family are all in your hands. I want to be free the help President Trump in his fight for re-election which, because of the drumbeat of fake news attacks, massive voter fraud and the wholesale censorship of Trump supporters on the internet, will be much more difficult than many of his supporters believe. I know I can win and he can win – but not without your support.
